Menopause and Hormonal Health Management

Navigating hormonal transitions with expert care and understanding

Understanding Menopause

Menopause marks a significant transition in every woman's life, typically occurring between ages 45 and 55. However, some women experience early menopause or premature ovarian insufficiency, which requires specialised management and support.

Our experienced healthcare professionals understand that menopausal symptoms vary greatly between individuals. Hot flushes, sleep disturbances, mood changes, and vaginal dryness can significantly impact quality of life. We take time to listen to your concerns and develop personalised management strategies.

Menopausal Hormone Therapy

Previously known as hormone replacement therapy (HRT), menopausal hormone therapy remains one of the most effective treatments for managing menopausal symptoms. Our GPs discuss the benefits, risks, and alternatives to help you make an informed decision about whether this treatment suits your circumstances.

We also address related conditions such as osteoporosis risk, cardiovascular health, and cognitive changes that may accompany hormonal transitions. Through regular health assessments, we monitor your wellbeing and adjust treatment plans as needed.

PCOS, Endometriosis, and Related Conditions

Hormonal conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis affect many Australian women. These conditions can cause irregular periods, pain, fertility challenges, and other symptoms that impact daily life.

Our approach combines accurate diagnosis with ongoing management tailored to your goals. Whether you are seeking symptom relief, fertility support, or long-term condition management, we work alongside you to achieve the best possible outcomes. When specialist input is required, we facilitate referrals to consulting specialists who can provide additional expertise.

Book an appointment to discuss your screening needs.

We provide comprehensive contraception counselling and prescriptions including oral contraceptive pills and contraceptive injections (depot medroxyprogesterone acetate).
